Max was born in Jakarta in 1947 and lived in the Netherlands since 1958.<\/span><\/span> During his studies at HTI and the Academy of Architecture in Amsterdam, where he met Ton Alberts as a teacher, he worked for several architectural firms.<\/span><\/span> In 1975 he joined the architectural firm Ton Alberts.<\/span><\/span> Together they designed the former NMB headquarters, later known as ING headquarters under the name Zandkasteel in South-East Amsterdam.<\/span><\/span> In 1987 he became a partner of architect Ton Alberts and they formed Alberts & Van Huut International Architects.<\/span><\/span> Ton died in 1999.
